I offer Personal Training to women of all ages and stages. My exercise programming is based on understanding the science behind weight loss and strength training as well as hormonal changes that can influence fitness outcomes. Training can be done in your home setting, online or in a gym setting.

Exercise During Pregnancy

Pregnancy and childbirth is like preparing for the biggest marathon of your life! With my specialty working with the perinatal population, it is important that exercise programming is appropriate for the pregnant population due to the physiological changes occurring in her body. I use an evidenced based performance training approach, to help prepare and strengthen the body during pregnancy, prepare for birth and labor, recover faster postpartum and prepare you for motherhood. This program works as a package because it incorporates prenatal fitness, the Body Ready Method ® and Birth Prep. As a certified Body Ready Method ® professional, I combine this service with your prenatal fitness program to improve strength and manage the natural changes that comes with pregnancy so you can get your body ready for birth. The Body Ready Method ® includes exercises to help eliminate pain, increase strength and flexibility, improve pelvic floor response and muscular imbalances to help get your body ready for an easier birth. Birth prep is also included so you will learn how to birth naturally with or without an epidural. If you are planning a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC), then this is the program that will get you ready for VBAC as well!



Postpartum Fitness

Returning to fitness following pregnancy also requires an understanding of how the postpartum body heals, the hormonal changes that takes place, the affects of childbirth and nursing on a woman's body, biomechanics, and muscular imbalances. I always begin with an assessment to evaluate a starting point and from there provide appropriate exercises and progression of exercises specific to her needs. Fitness programs are designed to first correct imbalances, eliminate pain, improve diastasis recti, improve pelvic floor symptoms and build strength, beginning with the core, and, strengthening the body from the inside out.
